It's me again, back after a very busy week!
Wow, I have really been working a lot last week. And after that a weekend of fun. Went to a movie called Palindromes, sat in the sun with friends and enjoyed the weather, went to a book- and to a recordfair and celebrated some birthdays. But now it is time to write something here again.
I still haven't thought of a good theme for this blog, but since appearently nobody is reading it, I guess there is no hurry. ;-) So today I will just say a few things about the music I'm listening too and the books I bought.
Right now, I'm listening to this cd now:
Bought this one in America and hadn't heard it in some time, but I have just found out that I still like it very much.
Last friday I bought some nice cd-singles by Matchbox Twenty, The Juliana Theory (I was very lucky to find that one), Nada Surf and Edwyn Collins (A Girl Like You! Love that song!). I like to buy singles of my favorite bands or of songs that mean something to me. I also bought a record of Tom Waits and a cd of the Afghan Whigs.
At the bookfair I bought books by William Thackeray (Vanity Fair), Arthur Miller (Focus, already read this one, but it's a fascinating book, so I wanted a copy of my own ;-), Kenneth Grahame (The Wind in the Willows), Mark Twain (The Tragedy of Pudd'nhead Wilson) and Stephen Crane (The Red Badge of Courage, of course I had to have this one, since I'm so much interested in the American Civil War and it's portrayal in popular culture). Furthermore, I bought Shaping a nation, a book about twentieth century American architecture, a book of New York wisdom, The Portable Abraham Lincoln and a book called Americans, with loads of short biographies of important Americans.
Well, that was it for today. I guess I have some thinking to do now.
