Heatwave

Spent a lovely weekend at my parents place. I loved being in my canoe again and just enjoying the sunshine. Here in the city it's harder to bear the heat, but tonight I will escape to the park again!

Finished About A Boy. I just couldn't quit reading... It may not among the best books I have ever read, but I find it very enjoyable. Tonight I will finally start with Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, which I should have read for a university course, almost three years ago...

In the train back home today I listened to Drops Of Jupiter by Train. I still think it's amazing how long it took me to like this wonderful record. If I was going to a desert island and was allowed to take only three records this, or My Private Nation (I hope I never have to make that choice ;-) , would definitely be among them. I also listened to Josh Rouse's 1972 which is one the best records ever to listen to during a heatwave...
